With J.W. Webb, executive coaching is all about helping client leaders to sustainably grow at an accelerated pace and achieve unprecedented results. The focus is on real development that’s built on a foundation of increased self-awareness and new insight. We help our clients to clarify and simplify their challenges and to develop clear-cut strategies and specific actions for overcoming barriers to their success.

An inside-out approach

Our inside-out approach begins with a self-exploration structured around J.W. Webb’s Executive Self-Questionnaire. Our questionnaire contains what we believe are the most critical questions that ambitious leaders can ask themselves. The series of questions help our clients to synthesize individual and organizational aspirations and to align these aspirations to their actions and behavior. In short, they significantly help to illuminate the path ahead.

In concert with the guided self-exploration, we conduct a highly leveraged 360° feedback process in order to produce an incredibly powerful view of triangulated reality for our clients. We’ve developed a process that gets at the truth and provides feedback so meaningful that it enables our clients to achieve breakthrough changes in behavior and effectiveness.

All along the way, we provide wide-open feedback and active counsel and we help our clients pay attention to the leadership details that separate extraordinary from ordinary.

Getting the most out of the process

Our framework for coaching success includes a focus on only the most important issues specifically related to our clients’ defined objectives. To help maintain this focus, we employ a Coaching Engagement Scorecard, which is mutually defined and agreed with our clients. This scorecard helps to ensure the engagement is firmly rooted in the tangible realm of concrete goals and our clients’ progress in relation to them.

We also place a premium on helping our clients practice non-defensive openness and objectivity as this skill is crucial to reaching the loftiest coaching goals. In executive coaching, the size of the prize is only limited by how much an individual is driven to grow and develop and the individual level of commitment to “saying what you mean and doing what you say you’ll do.”
